Review:: LARRY SAVES THE PRAIRIE by Matt Bergles
Larry Haverfield is not a well-known "personality," but together with his wife Bette and their five children, he almost singlehandedly saved the species of black-tailed prairie dogs in the State of Kansas, and was instrumental in the reintroduction of ferrets. So Larry was a hero to wildlife, and to wildlife conservationists. Just as Mother Teresa is an example to those who work to alleviate world poverty and hunger, so too is Larry Haverfield an example to emulate for those who wish to preserve the environment and conserve endangered and threatened wildlife species.
