Another delightful and lesson-packed children's story from author Carole Roman, BEING A CAPTAIN IS HARD WORK teaches the importance of teamwork and why humans have two ears and only one mouth: to listen twice as much as we talk! Captain No Beard is determined to sail the pirate ship to "Dew Rite Volcano," despite stormy threatening clouds and pitching seas. Every crew member recommends caution, but the Captain is the Captain. Eventually, circumstances prove the crew accurate, and some important lessons are demonstrated (including the power of imagination!).
